Dandruff???

..i noticed this morning that Sammy has got a sort of dandruff on his coat. We don't bath him the groomer does it every 6 weeks or so. Can it be dandruff or some other type of skin ailment? I know someone will say, 'take him to the vet', but i just want some ideas of what it may be first

I've recently posted about this with my two - it's likely that it's 'Scurf' which is another name for dandruff in dogs! I've started adding Salmon oil to their food (they're both on Burns) and can see the improvement within a few days..

I suspect the food mine are on doesn't have enough oil in for what they do and probably heating and log fires are not helping the situation here either.
