My OH said it would depend on whether he's eaten a large chunk or lots of little bits.  Good point I thought (He does sometimes excell himself). ;)

Good point - I'm hoping he liked chewing it up into small bits before swallowing it.  I've just found 2 small bits in his poo so hoping the rest is of a similar size so can pass through him  ph34r

Only just caught this - what did the vet say?

The vet thinks it should pass through him, but gave me some liquid parrafin to help it on its way.  She gave him a good check over - couldn't feel anything and Hamish showed no discomfort.  She said if he started being sick to bring him back.  He's now flat out on his back legs in the air and fast asleep !  She and her husband own 2 working cockers so she knows first hand how they love to munch on everything and anything  ;)

Oh that's good news - especially if you have found some in his poos.  :005:

I hope I didn't frighten you too much with what happened to us many years ago, I just wanted to make you aware.

I'm glad Hamish was ok at the vets too and hopefully it'll all pass out without too many problems!

No, don't worry you didn't - I appreciated your information.  Its always better to err on the side of caution, especially with Mattress Munching Mutts like Hamish  :lol2:
