Spaying - Before or After 1st Season??

Personally I would never spay a bitch until she has had a season, whatever the vet says!!
In my opinion its like giving a hysterectomy to a 13 year old girl, they are not physically mature until they have had a season.

I would also wait until a dog is 18 months before I would castrate.  Again vets say 6 months - still puppies at that age to me.......!!
