What a day we had at the beach
« on: July 20, 2009, 08:22:37 PM »
Decided to go to the beach today as oh is on holiday, we set off just taking Hattie as the walk is a little to long for Millie, but started to feel really guilty and turned back to pick Millie up, she was fast a sleep on the sofa.  So we started off again, Hattie in her create, Millie in the back, Millie could not settle, so stopped the car again, got Millie and travelled the rest of the way with her on my knee.  As we arrived Millie was so excited she could not wait to get out the car.  Got both dogs out, Millie who is totally deaf and not got good sight starts running to the beach (bless it was so cute).  Everything was going wonderfully Millie all over the place, Hattie chasing her ball, then Hattie finds a jelly fish, gives it a good lick or two, starts to drink loads of sea water and eat sand, next she starts to be sick, mainly water.  Arrived home Hattie sick once more, left her with oh for 1 hour, sick 9 more times this time its sand.  She seems OK now, not fed her yet I'm just making sure she has stopped being sick.  Millie is absolutely shattered and in her bed, Hattie is fast asleep next to oh. Think we will go on our own next time :005:

Oh dear, I hope Hattie is OK now and doesn't do the same again next time you go (cos I'm sure you won't go on your own)  ;)

Ouch that sounds painful - I wonder if piriton would be useful for this? Hope she's fully recovered and eating her tea :-*. Sounds like a great day, Millie definitely seems to have enjoyed herself :005: :luv:

Poor Hattie, but I bet it won't put her off going back to the beach!

Sounds like Millie had a ball, she is really doing so well just now, it's lovely to hear. :luv:
