Missing section on homepage

I seem to have lost the section that shows the summary of what the last posts on the forum were, I've tried hiding and showing the little plus / minus signs, but I still can't find the summary section 

I'm also now able to get a longer summary of the last posts, has there been a software update for the forum? Or have I altered some settings somehow?

We're trying out various settings at the moment to see if this improves forum performance so the "most recent posts" function has currently been disabled but may return if no difference is seen.

Can't promise anything as apparently that particular function does slow down things due to the demands it makes on the system. We'll see though - we may also be trying out other things too as and when there is time

I all so would like this section back. I found it really handy to see where people were posting and it helps me not to miss any new posts while i am online

I'm sorry but things do seem to have improved since we took it off (along with a few other measures) so we're reluctant to do anything which will slow things down again. There is a link you can click to see all recent posts - I've used it quite a lot already
