Hi everyone, I joined here in 2008 when I bough my first cocker Bailey

He is a 3 year old blue roan and IS the love of my life. I found this a fantastic site and luckily haven't had any problems with him. So I got lost in love with him. I now have an orange roan called Summer. She is 6 months old and bought her 2 weeks before xmas. She had been bought at 8 weeks old but the gentleman who bought her had mental health difficulties and struggled with a puppy so took her back to the breeder. The following day the ad went up and I enquired. She sounded so laid back which s perfect for Bailey as he is so full of himself at times I thought this would be a good match.
The reason I wanted another one (apart from the fact I would have a dozen if I could) is I am moving out over the next couple of months and he has always lived here with 3 other dogs. I felt he would want the doggy company and too many changes at once could be hard so I wanted a constant for him.
I was nervous at first on how they would get on as he has always been drowned in love and affection from me. I often refer to him as my soul mate and now we have to share each other. Well they are getting on well. I wouldn't say he loves her all the time as she has a habit of pouncing and looking in midair. Bailey gets landed on and grumbles but he is so patient with her. It's about sharing out the love as evenly as possible. She is learning a lot from him and they are getting on well. I am training them both again at home and on walks and looking at a centre for obedience training next week. Fingers crossed.
OK I think that is all I have to say right now. Oh no. He has short man syndrome and is super intelligent. She is the clumsiest girl I have ever known. EVER! And dappy. Both affectionate and love their cuddles. Oh and totally beautiful. And cute. And loyal. And............can you tell I'm in love? So nice to be back
