Sharpening Scissors....
« on: March 05, 2012, 08:46:02 PM »
Hi, I hope im posting this in the right section. I have some good quality scissors and they are not as sharp as they were. Is is possible to have them sharpened or is this not recommend? There were fairly expensive and I dont really want to buy more.

I am going to crufts, is there any recommended stalls/shops I could take them to?

Thanks

Diamond edge did mine the last time - you take your scissors along, pay them etc and I got them back about 10 days later - very sharp  :o

I have a similar question though, as I've had conflicting advice - can thinning scissors be resharpened?

That's great will take them with me  :D

I would also be interested to know about the thinning scissors too as I have a pair of single sided that have had a lot of use

Yes  - there are usually different prices for thinning scissors and straight-edged scissors but both can be sharpened.
