Strange Habits
« on: May 16, 2012, 11:29:54 AM »

I was just wondering if anybody elses cockers have any strange habits?
Bonnie is a 6 year old show cocker who likes nothing better than wrapping herself in our long curtains to sleep!
My husband always jokes that she is just copying what we do with our duvets!

Willow has recently taken to wanting to lie between my legs of an evening.... I have to sit with my legs folded to create a well type thing for her and she curls up in my legs, comfy for her but not too comfy for me!!  :005: :005: I often sit with a blanket over me at night and she likes to be under that too.... Strange doggy  :005: :005:

Maggie does the same, she comes over and paws me until I let her lay where she wants to  :luv:

One reason a dog can be such a comfort when you're feeling blue is that he doesn't try to find out why.  ~Author Unknown

Archie has a strange habbit of licking all the dirty plates when I'm placing them into the dishwasher! When we eat our dinner he will just sit and wait in the kitchen and wait by the dishwasher makes strange noises waiting for me to open it!!

Charlie likes to sit up on my lap and then sort of throw himself backwards so he's sat upright like a meerkat, one time he did this not realising I had reclined the seat back - he looked a little shocked about how far back he went  :005:

He also goes CRAZY for his Equafleece if wet and will pull his and Dexter's off the radiator and promptly woo woo woos till I stick his over his head  :005:

This happened today when I took Fraser in to the vets because I thought he had ticks on his belly (and tried to get one unsuccessfully with a tick puller). Turns out I was trying to extract one of his nipples, poor thing. Quite embarrassing and Fraser was being so tolerant. Anyway, while we were waiting in the examining room, Fraser was sitting watching the door expectantly, all aquiver with the sounds he could hear outside. Then I saw him wiggle his little bum backwards until he was sitting on his foot. Several times he got up when he thought someone was coming in, sat down after a while and then did the little backward bum walk until he was on my foot again. It was unspeakably cute. Funny little fellow.

All 3 of my dogs think the dishwasher is a snack dispenser. The pup stands on the door to reach!

Lyla has to put her chin on my foot to sleep or her back to my stomach in bed :005:  Kali likes to sit in the back of the Landcruiser in her crate with the door open.  She would sit in it all day if you let her!
