Salmon Oil Brands - which do you use?

Hi All,

I'm wondering which salmon oil brand you use, if you do of course actually use it :003: I have just bought some Salmopet oil but now it is here have wondered if I have selected wisely  ;)

Are they all the same or are some better than others?

Which brand do you use and is there a particular reason for your choice?

I used salmo pet first , riley loved it, I have fish4dogs now and its very much the same.

I use Fish4dogs too (but the Fish4Dogs site isn't the cheapest, I get mine from Best Pet £11.35 free delivery  ;) )

Kronch is my favourite and I have used it for years after trying various of the others.

Thanks for that ;). I've only been using their salmon oil for about over a month, and what a difference to Brodie's coat :o. It's got a lovely sheen to it I haven't seen since she was spayed. So soft too :luv:

I use Denes Omega 3 Salmon oil I use this as i know a load of cockers who have beautiful shiny coats while on this stuff x

I have two cockers and I found I was getting through a 500ml bottle of Fish4Dogs salmon oil very quickly.  >:(
I also found that no matter how I tried to pour it, it dripped down the side of the bottle. >:(
I now use a larger size Healthy Hounds salmon oil that has a pump dispenser and it works out much cheaper.  :D

How much salmon oil do you give dogs? When can you start giving it from, and what are the benefits?

I was given this by my friend to try for my wiry haired brindle and she has been on it now for a month and her coat is so soft and shiny now and she is more lively

That's really positive and the price of that oil is excellent  :D THink I am compiling a nice lists of ones to try and review  ;)
