Should I or shouldn't I?

Going on holiday next Saturday so have put the advantix on the dogs this morning in preperation. Anyway hubby took them out this afternoon and let one  of them go in swimming. The instructions say not to get wet for 48 horts before or after treating. Do you think I should do it again, don't really like the idea but like the idea of ticks less.
