Bites maybe?
« on: September 24, 2012, 08:25:57 PM »
Ive noticed a few small raised lumps on the back of Willow neck today, above where her collar sits!!  We've been out in grass and by water Saturday and Sunday, could they be insect bites? Cant see anything when I look although I can feel the lumps/bumps. She doesnt seem in pain when i touch them but she doesnt like it either and moves away.

Shall I bathe them in salt water and see if there is any improvement tmw or do I need to see a vet?

I think they are bites as me and OH have managed to pin her down to have a closer look and a few have scabs on (well they did have  :005: )

Just a bit worried as there are a few without scabs on that seem swollen  :-\ There are about 6 or 7 of them in total!!

You are describing very similar thing to what I've just posted about murphy.

I'm calling the vet in the morning to see what they say.

Just read your post, it might be the same, Willow isnt scratching though. Weird as she stopped in her tracks whilst out at the weekend and turned her head quick but it seemed like she was then looking at her leg. She soon carried on and we thought nothing more of it, it might of been then that something bit her and made her jump however the two might not be linked. This time last year she had a few wasp stings in as many weeks but its not that although earlier prior to close inspection I thought it could be!! Weird. Hope Murphy is okay xx

Hope your wee bubba is too.

I haven't seen Murphy scratching, just assuming he has been behind our backs lol.

Maddi isn't bothering with it, and they usually do like to inspect each others sore bits!
