Glad that you had a more positive vet visit.  Bob's suggestion of sterilising the food sounds like a good one.  Maybe that would help alongside the hand-feeding.  I hope you can get some improvements for her soon.

just managed to get caught up. Hope things for Kali are improving. Its a shame they can't operate and put an artificial palate in with some sort of surgical mesh. Wishful thinking on my part. hand feeding sounds like it could help reduce the food build up and infection risk.
