Ahh thank you Pearly for your kind words. That is so nice.

I do think she will be ok in the end as she does have some very good/ tolerant behaviours as well (as mentioned above). She is just a very full on feisty version of an already full on feisty dog! I think.
I do love her and I take full responsibility for her. I took her as a puppy therefore any  issues she has should be dealt with by me -or they are my fault!
..
She was trying to impress me today-she shot off after a partridge at 100mph with it inches from her nose. I whistled and she turned on a sixpence and thundered back to me. Good girl.
It's hard work and there are very low points- more so than 'easier' dogs I feel, but as so many on here have said, I expect the resulting bond will be very close.
It certainly is nice to have some input from you people on here who understand that they are a breed on their own!
Thanks again.

In situations like the one you describe you could try a house line. It is attached to the collar and is dragged around by the dog and gives you control over a situation.

On the subject of good dog trainers in Essex I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Nosey Barkers.

No connection other than that I have attended a couple of courses there and found them excellent.
