KC papers and DNA tests
« on: October 03, 2007, 12:52:20 PM »
I was looking at a dogs KC registration papers the other day and noticed that although the eye tests/screening results of the parents were listed their results for their DNA tests were not.  Both parents had had the DNA test results prior to these pups being registered.  Should the DNA test result have been listed on the pups registration papers?

Are you talking about Optigen/Antagene results? If so, they won't appear on KC registrations yet although the process has now started to get the KC to include this information for Cockers (as they do now for Labradors & Poodles).

Thank you for your reply.  Yes Jane, those are the tests I was refering to.  I was just surprised not to see them listed there; glad the KC has started the process to get them included on a dogs registration papers.
