Sleeping in the day ?
« on: November 23, 2007, 12:10:01 PM »
Poopie Tilly at nearly 5 months, sleeps quite a lot still in the day ( lucky me !!)     She usually sleeps in two hour batches, awake for an hour or two then sleeps again !! She is a very laid back poopie and calming down on the nipping trousers and legs (thank god ) I know whilst she is still growing she will sleep a lot but I  just wondered how long your similar age dog sleeps ??

I've never had a young puppy but got Meg at 2yrs old and she would sleep 24hrs a day if she could.  She loves her bed but does love going out for walks and her food.  Guess she's just one of the lazy ones  :luv:

My other one, Jakey, I got at 13 months old has never slept much during the day and I would imagine he never has.  As long as something is going on he's involved and failing that playing with toys.  After a walk he tends to go to bed for a bit but he's pretty much on the go from morning til bed time  ;)

They are all so different.

Wow, I wish someone would tell Jake to sleep more!

I guess he probably sleeps a lot during the day when I'm out at work, but at weekends I'm lucky if I get half an hour peace & quiet during the day.

Griffin's six months and he's a lazy boy. he sleeps on the sofa. Waks up and raises hi head to look at me. Chuffs, then flops back to sleep. But mention the D word or teh W word and its like a light switch!

Roxy comes to work with us every day. She has a play and breakie at 8am, then when she gets to work she goes in her playpen. She sleeps, plays with her one or two (hundred!) toys, goes out for a walk at lunchtime. She spends most of the afternoon sleeping or chewing on chews. When she gets home, the turbo setting kicks in, and she is barmy until about 10.30pm!! With a short break to recharge batteries while we're eating our evening meal!  :005:

sam is extremely lazy, i'm sure he'd be happy in his bed all day long. he gets up for a wee about half 6 then back to sleep for an hour. breakfast then back to sleep again. walks are usually half nine if i'm not in work and he will sleep until about 2 o'clock. he ususally stays awake until i get connor from school. he's up for an hour or so including his half hour lead walk. has tea at 7 and that's him for the night. he will reluctantly get up for a pee before we go bed about 9 ish. he sleeps then until the morning.
