Clippers
« on: August 29, 2008, 11:41:39 AM »
Hi all!
I have decided to try grooming my dogs myself now I have two! Alice has a lot of coat to grow at the moment so ill leave her to it but Maudie has been spayed and has a wooly coat. I like to keep it long ish! The groomers have clipped her well she always looks stunning. I have read Michelles thread on blades to use but which clippers should I invest in? or does a coat king do the same thing as clippers?

We recently purchased Andis AGC 2 speed clippers  they are fab  :luv: I have 2 cockers both spayed and 2 golden retrievers with very heavy coats.
You can choose from many different size blades and the clippers do not get hot
We spent years buying cheap clippers that blocked up and broke within 12 months  :-\
The Andis were over £100 but worth every penny   they came highly recommended   ;)
I have never used a King coat so I can't compare  :-\

I was going to start a thread exactly like this today as I want to get a set of (fairly cheap and cheerful) clippers to start doing Tilly myself (doG help her  :005:). Her coat goes really fuzzy but it's not thick or heavy so I'll be looking at the responses here with interest too :D

I've got the Moser max 45 http://www.beststuff.co.uk/moser_max_45_pet_clippers.htm

Bought them on ebay then found it was a COLer selling them  ;)

Easy to hold and blades easy to change
