Groomer in South Manchester?

Hi All

Millie is nearly 7 months now and over the past couple of weeks has started growing very oddly, almost like grass!!  she's longer in some places than others and generally looks like a big ball of fluff!! OH says it's puppy coat, which I am sure it is, but being a first time cocker owner (me) and also being chief groomer (twice a day at the moment!) I am reluctant to start pulling at it to hand strip as so far Mills sits like an angel to be brushed and inspected (especially if there's a treat nearby!) so I don't want to make it a bad experience for her if I get it wrong! Just wondering if anyone knows of a groomer in the south Manchester/Cheshire area who gets the thumbs up and might be able to give a novice like me some tips in keeping her tidy in the meantime? OH keeps scaring me by telling me this is nothing, and to wait until the spring when her winter coat starts coming out too! I have visions of coming down one morning to find my little girl resembles a sheep!!
