Dais, you came into our lives at the saddest period imaginable. You managed to turn it all around and the next eleven years soon became the happiest time I have known. When the world turned it’s back on me you were always there, as I was for you. I owed you everything, probably my life even but there was only so much we could do and after two years of failing health you lost the battle and we had to let you go.
It’s three years ago today and I still feel so guilty and I am so sorry but what else could we do as I could not bear to see you in pain any longer. At least you are laid to rest in your garden and I still feel as though you are around, and it’s so lovely that our Millie’s favourite place is above where you lay.
