We were told no walks until stitches out but Indie is 6 so perhaps her age played a part in that decision

ETA: As soon as stitches were out my vet said she was free to do whatever, offlead, swim etc :D

Bloomin heck...I won't be taking your vet's advice then, otherwise my trip to see Mark won't quite be what I'm hoping for  ph34r :005:

Blimey I think Coco would have gone up the wall if we had done this.  She had on-lead walks from the day after and then once she had had her post op check after about a week (she had dissolving stitches) the vet said she could do what she wanted  ;)

Honestly Sue, stop worrying, it is just common sense  :shades: :005:

Hmmmm...common sense when you know what you're doing  ph34r ;)

Honestly, I'm not worrying  ph34r :-\ :embarassed: I just want to do what's best for Chloe. I took her out for 15 minutes just now, and she went bonkers, pulling on the lead, and trying desperately to run. Didn't figure that would be terribly good for her, so we came home and now she's exhausted and zonked out  :luv:

No, I didn't know what I was doing either - Coco is my first dog and I never had anything much to do with dogs before I got her so I just muddled through.  :-\  She seems to have survived somehow  :005:  You know your dog - common sense says you shouldn't let her do anything which will damage or stretch the wound too much but keeping her confined for too long will drive her nuts so a few short on lead walks will help - am sure if you keep at it she will settle down a bit - she can probably sense your anxiety  :shades: ;)
