Poor Wez - he hurt his paw on the col meet at harlaw yesterday. (And I never even noticed until we were home and he woke up limping from his sleep! What a bad foster mummy I am!
)
He wouldn't put any weight on it today and there was some pus around the nail bed area so we had to go and visit my vets this afternoon. He has an area on his pad where he has cut it and taken off some of the skin. He also has an infection at the nail bed area which could have been underlying and brought to the surface by him licking his sore paw.
(He cried when the vet cleaned it - but then gave me big kisses and a waggy tail as is to say please make her stop!)
So we now have antibiotics and pain killers twice a day for the next week.
He has just hobbled over to me on 3 legs for a cuddle and is looking very sorry for himself. He has perfected those cocker eyes to a tee!
Poor Wez, its one thing after the other! Have just cleared up smelly lipfolds and an eye infection!
So no walks for the next few days for Wez - just plenty of cuddles.
