Henry, my black and white ticked cocker who is ageing at 11 and a half years has a serious problem, he is extremely smelly. he is so energetic and lovely but I believe his ears are a problem, he rubs his ears on any inanamitive objects and gets irratated. He has been to the vet and they give him virbac to clean his ears and surolan, he got groomed on Sat and he has regular baths but he smells so bad its hard to sit next to him on occasion.
I have changed his diet but as soon as I try with any manufactured food, you cannot sit next to him for a long period without, in the morning it brings a new meaning to morning breath,at the moment he is having dinners made by me! which kind of works and it has improved but on occasions I work late so have resorted to normal doggie food, but running out of recipe ideas and ideally would like to treat his problem.
Dont get me wrong I trust vets but the stuff they are giving him is not working and now looking for more natural alternatives, can anyone advise? would be very greatful. Henry is my mate and need to be close to him again. I will try anything so any suggestions however bizarre (not dangerous) will be considered . Thanks
