Flea treatment question - Advocate

Hello,

I applied Advocate for the first time to our puppy and am worried that I have done it wrong!

Rupert wiggled so much I think i got more on his fur than directly onto his skin....

Will it still work or should I try applying it again (this time with some help!)

Personally I wouldn't apply it again.  It always looks like there's more on the coat than there really is and I think it will to a certain extent migrate down the hair shaft onto the skin. Am sure someone else knows more about it than myself but I'm just a little wary of it.  Had no problems with Maggie on it - but both cats reacted to the cat equivalent so it would make me think twice about overdueing it on Maggie.

I too use advocate and always seem to end up with more on her Fur than on her Skin but I think this is inevitable really, I have never repeated the proceedure and she has now just turned one and had no problems with fleas or worm infestations so I assume its OK to get it as much on the fur as on the skin itself

thank you for the advice! will leave it until his next dose is due and get OH to hold him first
