Strops

Hmm, wondering if I'm handling this ok?

Tiffany can be a bit of a grumpy ar*e.  She looks like butter wouldn't melt, and she is a little sweetheart with her cuddles and happy, stumpy tail wiggling dances  :luv: She doesn't react to Sasha when Sasha's in her face or pushing her out of the way or jumping all over her.  But...

Try and get Tiff out for a wee when it's raining and I have a little  :badmood:  She will stomp to the back door, head down, reds of the eyes showing, body tense, and if Sasha gets in the way Tiff will go for her.  It rarely happens, and I just manage it when it arises iykwim.  So I'm not overly concerned.

But I wondered, apart from ignoring the behaviour (as I do), is there anything else I could be doing?  Or should be doing?

 :005:

I've no idea to be honest! Normy is a grump but she never acts on it just moans and grumbles at Dave - if he disturbs her sleep mainly :005: Or when he's finished eating and tries to shove his head in her bowl when she hasn't finished as quickly as him (as he does after every meal) she just grumbles at him and he backs off. She never does this to us, just Dave :shades:.

Has she actually gone for Sasha properly or is it just the warning I guess the only other thing to do would be to send them out separately to avoid it?

Hannah, Dave & Normy xx

I have a grumpy girl as well. Same as normy she likes her sleep and space when eating. I occasionally reward Dexter for backing off to her warnings. Sometimes I reward her for growling and not reacting (as shes giving off a clear readable signal to back off). Im not really sure if either are the right things to be doing  ph34r

You could maybe make going out in the rain a great game so that she starts to think of it as a good thing. So go out with her and take her fav toy or her fav treat. Then whenever it rains she'll be a bit keener to go out.
