We had this with Willow when she was small and it was usually when the weather was bad (especially raining) she would rather wee indoors, has the weather been bad there today? We often had a few set backs but it does get better honest.  :D

Some pups are slow on the up take some are fast :D (are's are slow by the looks of it)...But getting there..

One women said over the park this afternoon how is your pup is it toilet trained yet..I said we are making good steps forward and she does her poos out side but slow with the wees...We have almost mastered the recall.....O she says i would sooner have my pup house trained first....And i said i would sooner be able to call by dog back rather than seeing it disappear into the horizon :005: she walk away in a huff....

It's taken a while for Penny too. She's 17 weeks now and finally asks to go out. HOWEVER - I can't get her to go while we're out on walks. She'll hold it in for ages, then the minute we're in the garden she'll pee and poo! I'm contemplating taking her across the water today which will mean being away about three hours - surely she'll do something while we're out...

Oh yes she can! Out and about in the car, visit grandma, play on the beach, home - wee and poo accompanied by dirty look as if to say, "Why did you make me wait so long??"  :005: :005:

Reading all this makes me all anticipatory (or not) about picking Maike up tomorrow - we'll see how it works out, thanks to COL and colleagues with dogs I've had a lot of advice already.

Mind you, she can hardly be worse than Fumble the nasty cat, who not only can't handle the litterbox propery but also rubbed her poo-covered bum (probably itchy  >:() against my brand new suede hiking boots. It cleared off ok but I could've turned HER into boots.  >:D
Bee

Maike is our lovely golden working Cocker, born 12/07/11

Im so glad we got the wooden floor before we got the dog!!

Millie is six months old now we have the odd accident if im late comming down even by a few minutes!! I try and be down for 7:05am every morning since dad stays up late and ive ordered him if he is not going to bed any time soon then he has to let the dog out for the loo!!

I found when she was little and weather was bad she didn't like to go out in the rain so had to go out with her and shut the door on us (felt so mean!) but it worked in the end and now the rain isn't a problem.

One of my friends dogs, a rough collie bitch, totally refused to do her 'business' anywhere else but in her own garden.
It didn't matter how long she was out... I think renal failure would have set in before she allowed herself to wee, never mind poo  :o
Maybe it's got something to do with only 'marking' their own territory?  Although if that's the case then the vast majority of dogs are quite prepared to mark everyone Else's  :005: ;)
