So it's been over a week I think since I posted about Alfie randomly acting out of character around my toddler Ryan. I got some fantastic advice and wanted to say thanks very much for that and to give you an update as even though we were having a bit of trouble we decided to go ahead with our decision to adopt Amber.
I am so incredibly glad we decided to stick to our decision, Amber is a lovely little girl and in the 4 days we have had her has given Alfie hours of fun and play - she has settled into the house really well and even though she has her own bed she has been sharing with Alfie and he hasn't complained once! We had a few spats the first day as Alfie kept trying to get on top of Amber but there issues were resolved really quickly and they are becoming fast friends! I have walked them together every morning for the last 4 mornings and they have really enjoyed themselves (I haven't...its fffffreeezing!) and they spend a lot of the day chasing eachother round the garden and playing tug of war. It's like Alfie has lost interest in Ryan completely and has become a different dog. I know its early days but I couldn't be happier with the way things are at the moment and I really hope it stays this way. Thank you again for all your brilliant advice!
