I promise having a puppy wont change things...
« on: December 29, 2012, 07:19:40 PM »
MUCH ha ha ha!!!
that was the conversation I had with my husband - yeah right!!!!
we are just about to replace all the carpet downstairs for hard flooring due to it being so filthy and smelly from only a few months of sandon!!!
we now have 3 stairgates in the house.....we had none with our daughter!!
we dont go out as much...I dont like leaving him too much if possible!!!
our sofa is looking worse in 5 months of having sandon than it ever did in 10 years of having it!
Our garden isnt looking so good anymore!!!

but do you know what? I wouldnt change things for the world!!! (well except for the yucky wee smell on the carpet!!)

Lol! That made me chuckle! Bracken brought chaos to us and yes baby gates, stair gate, crates he is always looking for trouble, but he's keeping me fit! X

Lol! Had the same conversation with my husband, now it's going to change even further as we've got a baby due in 5 months!  Wouldn't do without my little Mont-ster though even if our garden now resembles a swamp  >:D :luv:

Ah.....they are great aren't they?

Get some 'Simple Solutions' for your carpet.....it's great.  No more wee wee smells.

And, it's good to have 'going out nights' in.....good food, a cuddle with a cocker, and a nice bottle of bubbly or wine.

Enjoy every minute...... :luv: :luv:

They certainly have a way of taking over the whole house! When i was  expecting my little girl and having jitters about my mothering capabilities, the very sensible midwife said "if you can bring up a puppy you'll be fine with a baby!" and she was right. Actually babies are easier as they wear nappies and don't bite x

Hmmm got puppy,
got carpet cleaner to clean up after puppy,
replaced remains of the lawn with fake grass to combat mud puppy carried in on feet,
carpet cleaner died
hoover also packed in
acquired second dog
gave in and replaced carpet and flooring downstairs
quit trying to clean sofa and now have 101 throws, blankets, cushion to hide the sofa
took a chunk out of the hall wall plaster when removing stairgate
replastered hall and repainted entire house as had tideline about 14inches from the floor
bought throw for bed to hide dog hairs etc (see sofa)
Now have dimmer switches in all rooms and visitors only allowed on overcast days or at night!!

Yep- having a puppy changed nothing in my house  :005: ph34r :005:

In use at all times we have 7 (plus spares/older ones)

We have 3 on the sofas, one on Charlie's window chair, 1 on the bed, 2 (sewn together on the spare bed)...actually there is another one the spare bed at the moment, on top of those two, and we have one on the sofa bed in the other bed room...just in case! Plus the one in the car...and my dads car just in case  :005:

2 in my car, 1 in his (plus an assortment of towels and blankets too ratty to be called throws), at least one in each dog bed (2 dogs =4beds ph34r), 3 on the sofa plus spares in case it gets chilly of an evening then there is a blanket box upstairs which is full - thankfully I managed to get rid of a few at Xmas by making tuggy toys for friends pets!!

AND you don't have to stand out with them in terrible weather at silly o'clock encouraging them to please have a wee/poo  ;)  :005:

I don't have any of these problems, Teal only goes to the toilet out side, she never gets on the furniture, she never ever comes indoors after turning the lawn into a muddy pool and would not dream of jumping in the fish pond to try and catch fish or frogs she always wipes her feet, chewing up is not allowed, her recall  is perfect and she would never ever turn into a cockerdile.I will also add that Teal would never jump on the laptop causing me to retype this 3 times.
