Catarrh
« on: January 02, 2013, 11:10:29 PM »
Our beautiful Daisy is 4.5 months old. She came to live with us 6 weeks ago and since that time has occasional catarrh. She has been seen by three vets all of which say her chest is clear on examination. The next idea is to x-ray her wind pipe for obstructions. The breeder has not admitted to a previous condition and indeed could not offer any suggestions. Has anyone else experienced this problem and have any remedy? I am a supporter of homoeopathic remedies if appropriate.

Hello and welcome to COL :D

It looks as though nobody on here has had a similar experience, but if you can describe Daisy's symptoms in a bit more detail perhaps there will be people whose Cockers have had similar symptoms. Does the vet say it's catarrh? I hope you find an answer to the problem very soon.

Haven't experienced anything like this with our two but just wondering if it could be some sort of allergic reaction to something in Daisy's environment or food?
If it wasn't noted by the breeder I'd tend to look for things that may be different in your home, cleaning products, type of heating, carpets etc.
Sorry I can't be of more help but just trying to come up with some possible causes that may be worth investigating as a starting point.
