My little golden cocker spaniel is 6 months now. We've had the same problem with biting and like you I work from home, she follows me everywhere, even the bath room. It does get easier with patients and time. When my puppy is naughty I try to ignore her (which can be hard) but it does work.

Unfortunately we're still having the aggression and bitting. But I was told this is more common in the golden colour.

Looking back though it is getting better. I think sometimes we expect a little too much from our puppies. My advise is try to relax a bit more as they pick up on our behaviour like they would their mothers.

What colour is your puppy?

I can honestly say that I didn't enjoy Archie's puppyhood at all. It really got me down (as many if you will remember  :shades:  :021:) Looking at mums pup Jade I now realise hat he was just a REALLY difficult pup and it wasn't me doing something wrong. It does get easier. I wish I had manged to enjoy his good moments more. Focus on the lovely bits because they grow up sooooo fast and you might miss them!

I certainly didn't enjoy Henry's puppyhood either! He was very bitey, persistent, hyper, endless energy, never slept except when put into a crate........still he slowly improved over the months and we wouldn't be without him now. I had many a day reduced to tears! It will get better, hang in there!

Good post Emma, it's not so long since we
were reading about your struggles and I
always admired the honesty and hard
work you have shown through all this;
not all pups are easy as you know and
if you are new to dogs it must be a huge
shock to discover your sweet little
cocker pup is an assassin in disguise ;)

I can't say I'm enjoying Lexi's puppyhood very much.... :'( she is a very headstrong pup all teeth with attitude.
She has now started screaming while out on a walk when I stop to talk to someone . Pulling like a steam train...telling her off means nothing to her. Distracting her means nothing she just goes back to whatever destruction she was intent on....then 7 in the evening comes and she becomes a quiet sleepy puppy..all this and she is only 14 weeks old really want to fast forward 6 months.... :-\

We love Ozzy to bits, but, like Archie, he hasn't been the easiest of puppies, and at 10 months old is still difficult.  But certain things do improve, so slowly that you hardly notice until one day you realise that they've stopped doing something that annoyed you.  However, as the song goes, when he's good he's very, very good, and when he's bad, he's horrid!!!  The good outweighs the bad, so there is hope for the future.  I hate having to look forward to the day when they are all grown up, as you never get that puppy cuteness back again, but, one day, all of us with 'challenging' puppies will look back and wonder why we worried.  And, as the other song says. 'things can only get better', and they will!!!

Good job we love 'em!!!  :luv:

You can just see us all in a years time telling people with their puppies to hang in there it will get better....lol
I do see small improvements, like not biting quite so much or so hard. Lol challenging puppies was a great way to put it....and yes Things can only get better...
