Not as many poos?
« on: January 20, 2014, 04:29:59 PM »
Hi max is almost 13 weeks now and for the last few days he doesn't seem to be going to poo as much. He used to go loads!! For example today he had a fairly big one around 6.30am before breakfast and then just done a small one now. I'm probably worrying over nothing!! Sorry for TMI. Thanks in advance x

Not too much information at all, you want to see some of the questions I've asked on here over the years  :005:

Is his food consumption the same? Is the consistancy still the same? Does it look like he is struggling to go? Do you wet his food? Does he have much exercise?

Hi thanks for reply. I don't wet his food not even when we first got him home. He is still eating the same amounts. He is fed 3 times a day on royal canin. He did look like he was struggling a bit earlier to go. It still looks same consistency. I took him to the park next door early this morning and he had a little walk around for say 10 mins. Then I took him for short walk round the block about 1.30pm and again around 6.30pm. Am I taking him out to much? X

All pups are different but at that age willow used to poop at least 6 times a day although she wasnt weaned on a very good kibble!!

I used to take her either out for a short walk or for a play in the garden before each meal that involved running about and this tended to get her bowels moving  :005:

You could introduce some raw veg to his diet this might help to loosen him and fill him up a bit at the same time. Does he drink much? Sometimes if they are struggling to go it can mean they need more fluid.
