Home made dog biscuits
« on: January 31, 2014, 06:21:53 PM »
My poor old boy whose 11 this year has had most of his top teeth removed.  I've adapted his diet with soft food but he's really missing his biscuits just wondering if anybody has a recipe for soft biscuits / soft treats that I could make for him?  He needs cheering up big time.

Tuna bread?

Very easy to make.  This is how I do it:

Tin of tuna in olive oil
Dollop of flour - probably 1-2 tabs
One egg
About a tsp of garlic powder

Mix together. Spread onto a medium dinner plate and microwave for 4 mins.  Remove and cut into small pieces.

Will freeze too  ;)

I usually put the treats in the oven to crisp up for a bit, but if your dog has poor teeth, these will be fine just microwaved  :D

Never met a dog that didn't like tuna bread  :005:

Livercake is another one that he might like:

Recipe here:

This recipe makes a hoooooge quantity though - You could do a third of the quantity which might be more reasonable!  :lol2:
