cat problem

hi I'm new on here and I have a little problem with my cocker puppy daisy. She's 7 months old and has an obsession with cat poo and she likes to eat it :-/ disgusting I know! I was just wondering if anyone knows how I can stop her eating it??? (If that's possible??) or if its bad for her???? These cats are not mine they are very brave cats from across the road!! My last dog bonnie didn't bother although she did used to like rabbit poo but eventually grew out of it!! I'm hoping daisy does too. Can anyone help?

Hate to say it, but cat poo is a favourite snack of most dogs, so I doubt if you'll stop her in any way other than denying her access to it. It's very unlikely to do her any harm, although I imagine that large quantities might give her a bit of an upset tummy.

Is there any way you can discourage the cats from coming in your garden, if that's where Daisy is finding it?

The Vet assures me that most things in cat poo are not zoonotic to dogs - the thought of it horrible though  :020:  the cats in this house are now very well trained and call for the back door to be opened then lead Pearl to where they've been  >:D. I do have a powder to put on the cat food which is supposed to make the poo taste bitter and not harm the cats - not much use if they are not your cats though

Ok thanks :) it does make her a bit gassy (worse than normal gas lol!) glad it won't hurt her. I'm just hoping she does grow out of it. Thanks for the help guys x

Another poo eater here! There's quite a few cat owners round where I live. The cats all seem to choose our garden as one of their favourite toilet areas. I have to nip out before I let Alfie out and remove it from the garden.
