The adventures of a winter-born puppy!
« on: March 10, 2014, 01:19:43 PM »
Today Wilma had new exciting adventures. It started with her watching me put washing on the line and snapping at the bottom of the sheets. She sat on the lawn watching it blow for a little while. Then we went on a walk where she was allowed to run freely through all the muddy streams! Once she realised I wasn't calling her back, she did laps up and down the stream with her tail wagging. She also got to play with lots of new dogs who owners have come out of the woodwork with the promise of a bit of sun! We get home and after a much needed shower (to remove the caked on mud) she was towel dried and brushed in the garden and rather than encouraged to sit still for the hair dryer she was given a treat and she was left to lie on the lawn and chew in peace.
She then watched with great frustration as her favourite soft toys were pegged on the washing line! She realised after 10 mins that she wasn't able to jump high enough the reach them. So she turned her attention to reaching the bread off the bird table, or chasing any bird that dared to come close to have some!

And then she had great fun chasing and eating some ice cubes on the patio, as I sat in the sun reading a magazine. By 1pm my lovely clean dog is fast asleep under the garden table in the shade!  :luv: and I get to rest for the rest of my annual leave day. Roll on the summer  :D

It sounds like a perfect day for Wilma, and for you.

Sunshine does make all the difference (and all the fair weather walkers are out in force too)
