I can hardly believe that Jamie is five months old already. He has really come on in all sorts of ways and is a total delight. He has grown in height and weight and can reach parts that are out of bounds, so I now have to be careful where I put anything. He looks forward to his puppy classes, just as Henry did, and runs like mad from the car yelping with pleasure whilst we are going into the hall. He's not marvellous at his classes, unfortunately, as he wants to play with the other puppies. He was taken from me on Wednesday night by one of the instructors, whilst we were waiting to demonstrate walking through a gate, as he was so exited and in one of his giddy moods trying to play with a puppy next to us. Hopefully, he'll grow out of this.
He is very loveable and affectionate, and follows me everywhere. He is sleeping under my desk at the moment as he always does when I'm on the computer, and as Charley always did. Henry has never done this. He sleeps at my feet when I'm having a meal and when I'm watching TV. He also sleeps on my knee for a time when I'm watching TV, but then wants to go down and lie at my feet.
He is in to everything and loves to play in the garden, amusing himself by beheading the blooms on the camellias or digging holes. His recall in the garden is not too bad if he's not engrossed in something. He excels at recall in his puppy class, and runs like mad to me to get his reward of a piece of sausage. He is now fully house trained and hasn't made a mistake in ages. I hope this continues. Obviously, he loves playing with Henry and the two of them get on like a house on fire. I can say he is now a perfect puppy.
