Leo cant settle after a walk
« on: March 21, 2014, 07:01:31 PM »
Hi has anyone experienced this, after a walk Leo just cant settle, he pants excessively for longer than I would expect 20-40 mins he tries to sit to settle but flings himself against walls chairs etc frequently moving around.  he may settle for one minute then he sort of twitches his back legs as if he is still running.
We took him to the vets as we were concerned they gave him full check up and watched a video we took of him when he was like this. Vet gave him clean bill of health whcih was a relief as i though he may have heart problem, she said just watch him and monitor him but he is still doing it, does anyone elses puppy do this, he is 12 months old on 9th April and has only really been doing this past two or three weeks.

Sounds like young nettle stings to me - they're early this year!

You can also bathe his paws in warm water and bicarbonate to soothe the stings  ;). Really really sounds like nettle reaction, especially the kicking out of his legs.
