Dino at Mayhew London
« on: April 12, 2014, 09:52:13 AM »

Hello, my name is Dino,

I知 a twelve year old male Cocker Spaniel. I arrived at The Mayhew because my owners were expecting a new baby and felt they could no longer look after me.

I知 a very friendly boy and I get along very well with everyone I meet and I知 always happy to say hello to knew people. I also get along very well with other dogs. I知 well-behaved and responsive to commands. I知 also toilet-trained, I travel well in the car and I can be left home alone for four or five hours without any problems, although I will chew small items left lying around. I知 still young at heart and I enjoy playing with my toys, I espcially love to carry a tennis ball around in my mouth. I知 also very affectionate and I like to snuggle in close for love and attention.

I知 now looking for a forever home with a person or family who have researched my breed type. I can live with sensible children from eight years of age and upwards providing they are used to being around dogs and I can live with another dog providing we池e the right match. I can also live with dog-confident cats. My new owners will be expected to provide me with a minimum of one hour of off-lead exercise every day. If you池e interested in adopting me you will need to be fully prepared for the hard work and long-term commitment involved in caring for a dog, which must not be taken lightly.

I hope to see you soon,

Dino x

Poor pooch, he must be wondering what is going on. Hope he finds someone to look after him.

 >:D >:D

This makes me soooo mad - to give him up after 12 years because they are expecting a baby :dunno:

Speechless - poor boy must be so confused.  :'(  He doesn't sound like he would be any trouble at all  :luv:

I hope he is settled in a wonderful new home very soon  :luv:

No matter how much you hear this rubbish it still beggars belief.  He'll get really nice new 'dog people' owners because he'll get the sympathy vote (I hope).  Sounds like a lovely boy with no issues.

Exactly what I was going to say! How can they say it won't work without even trying!! Not as if he's a puppy either.  >:D

This beggers belief, my auld lad will be 15 on 26th of this month.  Yes life can be a challenge but we meet each one head on and keep our boy healthy as we can and happy.  I would sooner cut off my right arm than part with him, before he decides he has had enough and wants to leave us.

A  nice thank you for all the years of love that he gave his old owners. Hope they stand by their child for longer.  Speaks volumes about them.
