Teal is home
« on: April 17, 2014, 05:45:50 PM »
I have just collected a very sad looking sleepy dog, Teal is back from her spay complete with cone of shame, I am dreading the next 2 weeks with her on zero exercise, timing is also very bad we are expecting a house full for the Easter weekend but we missed the last appointment due to the phantom pregnancy. We cant use her crate with the cone on so I will let her sleep for a few hours and fit her with a tee-shirt.

Teal, l will be feeling sleepy. I did not use a cone as Penny was fine with her stitches  but had vest on when Louis was here so he didnt sniff it . She would not drink so gave her the spring water out of the tuna with water added .They recover quite quick but do worry you.Sending her cuddles to

The cone will be more of an irritation to her than the stitches  ;). A babygro or baby vest as Joan says is very handy :)

Hope she's back to her normal self very soon  :luv: :luv:

Well I have one very sad little lady this morning she has eaten a little and is drinking but she will not have a pee or poo, if I carry her out to the garden she just sits on the floor I will give until the morning and if she is still showing signs of being in pain I will go to the vets for pain medication.

When I had my girls done, I always asked for a bottle of Metacam. If I didn't need it I would hand it back in but both Kali and Lyla were miserable after!

Teal is back to her normal self and its extremely difficult to keep her in check, cant let her off the lead in the house as  she starts zoomies and jumping its like trying to keep a lid on a box of frogs so she is having lots of crate time.

During the day we have her in a baby grow but she has managed to get it off a couple of times so at night the cone goes back on.

She is eating and drinking OK and is peeing no problem but she has not had a poo since she came home from the vets has anyone any idea for a food that might act a bit laxative, we will call the vets on Tuesday if still no movement.
