Hi everyone,
Just a quick update to let you all know how Meg is doing,
She is a lot braver now, we seemed to have turned the corner.
but had for the last few days suffered with very loose running movements,
and on Friday morning she was not our Meg, just crept behind her chair,
I dreaded the thought of taking her to the vets after the last time, she had still not
got passed the front door.( she eyes it very time she passes it) so I took her out the side
gate and she started to struggle but got her into the car. well padded in a heavy dog
blanket,( remembered all the poo's from the time before) sadly it didn't stop the wee
by the time we got to the vets I was soaked through. We sat in the car until our appointment
so we could go straight in, must say the vet (locum) was an older gentleman who listened
to me explaining why Meg's is so afraid. he was so good with her and she was so well
behaved I was SO PROUD of her, it seemed as she had a infection and a bit of colic,
bless her she even stood on the scales in the surgery waiting room with no panic.
another corner turned, yesterday she is back to her self bright eyed and full of cocker
fun.
I now think it's time to get her some help from a behaviourist, as she has started to understand
that she is not going from her home, so in some ways the trip to the vets was a blessing.

Sometimes it is the little setbacks in life - i.e. the infection, that open the door for the way forward, so lets hope this is a turning point for little Megs and that now, with a little help, she'll learn that the world out there isn't so scary after all. You  have incredible patience, she's such a lucky little lady to have found you and I really hope you can all start to enjoy the great outdoors together before too long! All the best and sending lots of  :bigarmhug: to Megan!!

I'm glad to say Meg's tummy is now lots better,
she is bobbing about as normal thank goodness,
you don't realise just how much you miss their presence
until they are poorly and take to their beds.

Meg has developed into a huggable, loving little babe.
and quite a mummy's girl. just like Holly was.(bet Holly put her up to this)
had to smile last night,  hubby went out into the kitchen
with Honey to put her eye drops in, and Meg's heard him in the lounge say to
Honey "here's a sweetie" Boy I have never seen a dog move so fast
as Meg did that FAST COCKER walk, not a run, but legs going like pistons
made me think of our late Taffy and Holly who did the same, Misty, Merlin
never did this. strange how some develop it.

Thanks Alan T for the info on dogidog she sounds so nice but sadly she is out of our area, so going to
have our vets behaviourist who I know well to see if we can now move forward. can't wait
for Meg to see how much she has been missing, still I think it will be a while yet before that day arrives.
will be shouting on here that day
cheers all
Val
