It's like I've got TWO new dogs.
« on: December 26, 2015, 02:48:18 PM »
Millie has been with us for 10 weeks now and settled down really well and Murphy, after a few days of being very grumpy, has taken to Millie really well.

But the biggest difference is how Murphy has changed with us. He's never been a lap dog, or the most affectionate and will quite happily sit/sleep on his own and we don't mind this at all. But over the last month or so he has completely changed. He now looks to sit with you at any opportunity and his favourite new place is to sit on the back of my chair and rest his head on my shoulder. It's like my own living hot water bottle for my neck. A few weeks ago I got awoken in the middle of the night, cold with no covers over me. Murphy had jumped onto our bed and snuggled between my wife and I. He has done this every night since.

Has anyone elses dog changed like this with the introduction of another dog?

Ah yes know where you are coming from, though it does have it's bonuses, Minstrel was never that good at coming in from the garden, now if I call them, he is usually the first one in - just in case I only treat the 1st one through the door  :lol2: (of course you all know I wouldn't do such a thing  ;) )
Remembering Smudge 23/11/2006 - 3/8/2013, Branston 30/8/14 - 28/10/22, and Minstrel 24/6/13 - 13/8/24 all now at the Bridge.
