Snipey head? Pictures?

Hi,
I have a 14 week Show Cocker Spaniel girl who is absolutely lovely and we adore her.

I just wanted to check on her features. She does not have the traditional square jaw and muzzle, as according to the breed standard as far as I can tell. Her head is more slim and dainty, I think it's called "snipey headed"? She looks more like a dachshund! She also carries her ears high, which makes them look short, like a Working strain.

Does anyone else have a Show Cocker with these features? Could you post pictures please?

We met her mum and saw pictures of her dad, they both had the more traditional features, how come she doesn't, or will she change? It doesn't really matter, we love her anyway, I am asking mainly out of curiousity. But it would be great to see some pics!

I have looked at a lot of pictures of Cockers when we were looking at getting a pup last year. Dexter also has a narrower head than usual but it is quite common and I found numerous pictures showing this. The thing that makes it look more narrow than it is lots of top knot hair which we keep thinned out and trimmed.

There are many picture of different dogs on this site and quite a few with the narrow head, enjoy looking through the threads and pictures it is a nice pastime!

Yes, Humphrey's like that too - someone even asked me recently if he had collie in him  ( ). Also, - if she's only 14 weeks, she will change a bit anyway.
Main thing is " she's absolutely lovely and you adore her" !!!

She will still be developing .
  As for the dachshund type. I have one of them 

We  had 3 staffies  in the past and only one of them actual looked the part.
  People all share the same dna and look how different we are. I look nothing like my bros or sister .she is far more prettier than me but we come from the same hatchery

Thank you for replies! Yes, Collie is another look she could pass for! She is black tan and a couple of people have asked if she is a Doberman Would love to post a picture but can't work out how!!

This isn't a very clear picture but you can see the head shape! Humphrey's now nearly 8 months!

This was William at about 4 or 5 months old. He has a classic show type Cocker head.

My, Humphrey is gorgeous! The paws... If Ela turns out to look anything like that, I'd be stoked (I am sure she will be beautiful either way, but you know what I mean! Btw, she IS beautiful. In a Collie sort of way )

  - have to admit, he does scrub up well, especially when he's been bathed and brushed  - but lets face it, have you EVER seen a cocker that isn't drop dead gorgeous?? Its their characters that shine out from within, that make them so beautiful. Really looking forward to seeing Ela - (Humphrey keeps pushing his nose onto my screen here, obviously anticipating a bit of talent!!!)
