I have a 10 year old border terrier cross - Josie & a 2 year old Wcs Ernie . Ernie is very laid back & Josie definitely " wears the trousers " , they get along wonderfully but she did tell Ernie off when he overstepped the boundaries as a puppy ie trying to jump on Josies head when she was trying to have a peaceful lie down etc 005: & quite rightly so ! Recently I brought two new beds for them - small size for Josie & medium for Ernie , as he's bigger . Josie sprawls like a princess on the larger bed whilst Ernie squeezes himself on the small bed - I've now had to order another medium bed

I'm not sure whether Josie is the more assertive dog as she is older & already settled into our family when we got Ernie as a puppy or whether it's due to the fact that she's a bossy little madam & like most males Ernie would just rather settle for an easy life

Ernie doesn't mind being told what to do & him & Josie live in perfect harmony that way

Anyway I'm sure the dogs will work it out
