Warts
« on: January 24, 2026, 07:27:59 AM »
Hi, does anyone have any advice on warts? Humphrey has one on the top of his head which is now the size of a small pea, I?ve mentioned it to the vet on several occasions but he?s reluctant to remove it as long as it doesn?t bother him as he says it?d be difficult to close the wound up. Have any of your dogs had warts removed? He?s had it for quite a while now so I?m not optimistic it?ll go by itself. Its just in an unfortunate place, my fingers find it everytime he cuddles up to me and I have to make a concious effort to leave it alone, (hope that doesn?t sound too wiered? :lol2:) but it doesn?t seem worth seeking another vet out just for a wart. Any thoughts anyone?
Have a good weekend! (Still very cold here!) xx

Dylan has a wart or two (old man thing!), o e is on his head too. It's not very big, but it can get a bit crusty sometimes if it gets knocked. Vet said to bathe it with diluted hibiscrub, which I do every day, it doesn't seem to have got bigger (yet). He also has a sebaceous cyst which has popped! So Imthink we have to go for removal 🙁.
