Experience probiotics for yeast

Hi everyone! Humph‘s been a bit itchy lately, he‘s often scratching his ears and dragging his face along the floor. Vet suspects yeast problem and a disinfectant spray she gave ne does seem to offer a bit of relief but he‘s started chewing his paws more lately aswell and sometimes they do seem a bit smelly. He‘s been on a kidney friendly diet which means less protein and more rice, pasta etc but I‘ve read that its the carbs that are a breeding ground for the yeast. There are loads of adverts for probiotics online which are supposed to help but there’s so much stuff being offered online I‘m not sure what to believe. I‘m reluctant to make anymore big changes to his diet though as in every other respect its doing him good.
Any thoughts re the probiotics?

Well Harry has daily probiotic powder, he had anal problems a few months back and I started him on Super Tummy Daily(thought being firmer stools less anal problems) by Buddy and Lola so while given for a different reason it does mention it helps with itchy skin.  Harry has had it since about June daily one slighty heaped scoop.

Worth a mention is over here that probiotics seems to be used to promote health firm stools.

Yumove do some thing as well with probiotics to help digestive support.  Also plain bio organic unsweetened yogurt is given by some folk....but then its dairy.
