Can't resize even in photobucket?
« on: May 14, 2006, 09:34:46 PM »
I have a photo sent to me in an email and have saved it on photobucket.  I have clicked resize numerous times and refreshed the page / logged off and on again but it's still huge?  Could you let me know how to resize as it would drive me mad having to scroll across the page to see it all (let alone the dial up users)!

I do have permission to post the pic by the way!

I found this happened when I tried to resize in photobucket.  I stopped doing it there after Daisy's Mum gave me some advice - go to your picture and 'open with' MS Picture Manager and resize to 'email small' setting......hey presto..... ;)

I use this free programme to resize my photos...

http://www.irfanview.com/

Once you've downloaded it, open the programme up and click on the "file" tab, then "open" and select the photo you want to resize from the place on your pc where it is stored. Once you have the photo in Irfanview select the "images" tab, then select "resize" - you can either manually resize or use the automatic resize from the various options offered. Once it's resized then save again to your pc.

There's other handy options on there to crop and colour adjust etc.
