Zorro's home! He is absolutely adorable, very confident but in a very nice way and totally different to Bella. We couldn't cuddle Bella till she was about 4 months as she just wanted to play ALL the time, but Zorro loves his cuddles - he's also a natural retriever

We didn't get him home till 5.30ish as the traffic was quite bad but he was great in the car, slept most of the way after a few initial howls of protestation at being removed from Sharon

, had one wee on the newspaper and that was that. We put Bella in the boot in the end just to make sure in case she decided to get narky at him.
Since we got him home, Bella has been pretty good - she's put him in his place a few times but mostly just little warning grumbles at him - she had one more serious go at him when I was grating some parmesan

because he'd come to join her in begging. He has got the cocker begging down to a T, does the sitting in front of you with the "oh look I'm a poor, beautiful puppy" face extremely well

Bella and him had a tiny bit of a game earlier where they both barked at each other, wagging like mad, lots of play bowing on both parts and eventually he legged it and Bella bounded after him, so that bodes well.
This is the state of the pair of them at the moment:

As you can see, Zorro pretty much fills up Bella's old puppy bed already - bearing in mind Bella only took up a third of it at his age! He is a chunky monkey and I think he'll very soon overtake her in size.
As I'm typing this, Zorro woke up and tottered over to where Bella is sleeping, presumably thinking about whether he could snuggle up, but he obviously thought better of it as he's back in his own bed with his teddy now.
He has met Ziggy, the old grumpster cat, who just hissed at him straight away which he took good notice of, so I think as the cats have been through this puppy thing once they will be alot easier with it this time and at the moment the cat and both dogs are all asleep in the living room.
He's just woken up again and is desperately trying to get Bella to play but she's just walking around wagging and vaguely trying to ignore him.

We're so pleased to have him home, he is the most adorable little lad, he's been thoroughly exploring downstairs and the garden as well, and has been deferring to Bella so if they both get up at once, he stands back and lets her go first (very wise!), and earlier when it had got dark he wanted to go outside but was too scared, so he waited for Bell to go first and then trotted out and stood next to her on the step, it was a very sweet sight.

He's a VERY vocal boy, makes little noises to himself whilst eating a carrot and barks for you to play with him, he's a heart breaker!
More tomorrow!
