[Big Ben]

Brought Bella home last Wednesday as some company for Ben........still haven't had a decent nights sleep...........can't put her with Ben unsupervised yet as he's to big and clumsy and may hurt her..............as soon as she's left on her own for more than 5 mins she howls like there's no tomorrow.............PLEASE.....has anyone got any suggestions?

All I can say is crate train her, she has to get used to you not being with her all the time, and if she was used to a crate she could sleep in one next to Ben, and hopefully  you will get some sleep!

I am sure someone will come along with better advice, but good luck!

Do you have a puppy pen so that Bella could sleep in that in the same room as Ben? We did this with Zorro so she was in the same room as our Bella (who is 2) and they were fine, but we'd got Zorro used to the puppy pen from day one. They now sleep in the kitchen with free run of it and are quiet as little mice.

Go and try to get her to sleep again...........I'm not sure whether to leave her howl or go to her...............I've now progressed to putting her in a crate on the bedroom floor all night.........she doesn't make a sound now, but i am worried that she may get used to this!!!!

Too late, put her back in the kitchen and leave her to howl. Might take a few days but do not go down to her. She sounds like she has got exactly what she wants, but once in the bedroom, always in the bedroom....ooops.

Give it a go and pre-warn your neighbours. Leave on the radio and make sure she's full up and tired out when you put her to bed.

Yep this is exactly what I was gonna say Hope it works out for you.  This is what I did with Mollie and she stopped howling after the first couple of days
