We've made our bed...
« on: August 30, 2007, 11:18:08 AM »
...so I suppose we'll have to lie in it.

Jarvis has started whimpering in the morning before we wake up. He doesn't need to go out, he just wants the attention - I think it's because we've been letting him upstairs in the morning for cuddles. We've tried ignoring it, but it's really difficult as he's so happy to see us every day! :)

I have made the same mistake. Laurië wakes me up every morning by jumping into my bed, lying down ON my face while making the most adorable cuddle noises.  :luv: Oh well, I guess it's more comfortable than an alarm clock  :005:

I know exactly how you're feeling. We've gone and done the same. Little Nell, is becoming little Hell. We've allowed her to sleep in the bedroom - as we did our other Cockers - and she is becoming quite unruly...but very loving. She's very good throughout the night and her demands for attention start around 6am. Thankfully, thats the time the OH gets up to walk her.

We've decided that we're gonna stick with it, as its not fair on her, to suddenly make her sleep down stairs. 90% of the time she's fine and a very good girl, it's just a case of waiting for the 10% of evil to fade.

I'm putting Fern back downstairs tonight  ph34r I think I will be in for some trouble - i have put her bed in the kitchen after moving everything round and I can tell she's not impressed already  :-\

Rosie Slept in our room last week when we went to Cumbria to visit Oh's parents. We took her bed, but by morning she was on our bed, but curled up at the bottom.  Got back home Tuesday and she is back downstairs on her bed no problems  :luv: what an Angel

we go away for weekends quite often in the caravan and when we are away Lola sleeps on our bed, but when we get back home she is downstairs, she seems to accept this quite well apart from the odd crafty time that she will try it on and go upstairs to hide under the bed just before bedtime in the hope that she wont get noticed.

We made that mistake with Cassie and she now sleeps at the end of our bed feeling like a 20 stone 8 footer! >:(
But when Maisie came along she was put in a dog crate at night and she whined for 1 night and 18 months on she still sleeps in it she is a little angel how they differ! ;)

Just been camping with Jarvis - he was as good as gold, slept beside us most of the night, with the occasional kiss :D

Mine have always been on the bed with me.  Can't think of a more beautiful way to be woken up :luv:

Hamish has been as good as gold the last 2 nights - sleeping on his own in the kitchen (with the radio on) from 11pm to 6am and not a sound!

Few nights before that he had me awake every few hours but has slept through the night 2 times in a row! Long may it last

Mine sleep on our bed. They have got into a routine and its only very occasionally they wake us up . They try and get a stroke if you turn over but if you ignore them they give up and go back to sleep. The alarm clock or one of us paying them attention is the cue for excessive loves needed all round  :luv:

:shades:  OH has said he can't wait for Braan to go thro the night and then they are (according to him anyway) both coming back up to the bedroom

I've quite enjoyed being able to move in bed the last couple of weeks without thinking I'll roll on top of one of the dogs or having dead legs  ph34r  :005:

I used to have rommel in bed with me then I moved him to next to the bed which took a couple of days and now have him just outside my bedroom door.

The first couple of nites I would hold him until he slept in my arms and then carry him to his own ben and he was usually too tired to care. He can hear me wake up though but until then is ok.

I tried putting him outside the room right away but he was to have none of that so the gradual way worked ok by me.
