Hello everyone, advice needed again please as perfect puppy book doesn't cover this!

Roxy is used to being in the car (breeder used to take the litter out and about for a drive!) when we first got her she had a little soft crate type thing to travel in, since she can go for walks she has a harness that attaches to the seat belt.

However, she now barks her head off for the first ten/fifteen minutes of any journey! she gets in car no probs, always seems happy.
After ten minutes she will settle herself and snooze or chew whatever toy we have given her if its a long journey.  Journeys vary from 10 mins to the park to 45 mins or hour and a half to parents.

Any ideas on how to stop it? Do you think she will grow out of it? She is still only 13 weeks. Its just quite hard on the ears as she is very high pitched!

Sorry - but been there and got the T-shirt  :005: It was rather deafening on the ears

Right a few routes you can take - Do you clicker train?? 

Once she is quiet click and treat (easier if someone else in car can do this if you are driving  ;) )

Clicker train a 'quiet' command so this can be used in the car

Put radio on and windows open

Just put up with it and she should grow out of it - but Fern hasn't as such  :shades: if she sees a bird, cow, sheep etc she starts to bark

Or put her back into a soft crate so she just goes to sleep
