Indestructible dog toy--Not!

I have yet to find a toy that withstands Ben's teeth! 

The lead was sorted while he was young and chewing it the whole time - I bought a light weight chain lead with a leather handle.  He didn't get through that one

Yep, I've got an Aspen too!  Especially when it comes to tennis balls!   I've eventually managed to find a ball which he can't destroy (it's like thick plastic, but still bouncy) and which fits into the ball thrower thingy - I've had it for almost a whole week now!

I really would like to know if anyone does find an indestructible toy.  Sam managed to destroy 2 of his toys last night and bit a hole in one of my cushions on my couch!!

About 6 or 7 th down - you can fill them with water and when chewed the water comes out of tiny holes and you can even freeze them with the water - they are great all my 3 dogs love them - and we've had them for 3 - 4 weeks now and they are still going strong  So that's says they are so far worth the money

Ive found one type for my dogs   its actully the type of toy you think would be destroyed in a second but they dont bother trying to destroy them . its the softest rubber ball or animal the rubber is very thin .  You can find them in most pet shops . very strange that dogs just dont want to chew them Out of my collection of a few hundred different types of toys I have 6 very very soft rubber ones that have lived for over a year some almost 2 years ive never seen them atempt to chew them and I buy alot of toys  7 dogs 6 toys still living ( ok there a bit gruby ) but I think thats good going 

- Ours have had one of these, or something similar, they're latex rubber or something? For some reason, they don't get destroyed?! Our little crossbreed is usually the one for destroying things, but she can't seem to with this one!! The other good thing is that they're really cheap to buy!

I'm really annoyed with other dog toys, as some of them are really quite dangerous! I never got round to photographing the contents of the toy donkey that the dogs destroyed recently. I found three lithium batteries on the lounge floor and followed the trail to the insides of donkey! I find a lot of them have squeakers in, and I'm sure they could do a fair bit of damage if they got swallowed? I'm really careful with what I buy them now. The kong that I bought Roxy recently seems to be standing up to her mauling it!

Coco is the same, he has gone through two red Kongs, he is finding the black one a little more difficult though. My friend gave him a Knot for nuts, her words, here lad that should be you quiet for a while, yes it was a short while as well,the mess from it was unbelievable.

He adores plastic bottles, the entertainment value of these are priceless, the best toy in the world...

George's absolute favourites are plant pots - closely followed by plastic bottles.  Problems is they often still have a newly bought plant in them!

The only toy my lot dont destroy is a Ragger - you know, a piece of rope with knots in. They do actually destroy them gradually, thread by thread, & they untie the knots, but they still last for quite a few weeks sometimes! Actually Kongs last as well - mostly because they all think they are REALLY BORING!!

A friend told me when Bailey was tiny, that her dogs didn't need toys -just give them a plastic bottle and a flower pot. Great idea, I thought, even though Bailey has plenty of toys, and I gave him a washed out plastic milk carton. He loved it, played with it for hours, but it backfired on me. I did my Tesco shop, and came home, putting shopping down on kitchen floor, still in bags. Bailey spotted 3 plastic milk cartons and decided to help me unpack! Within seconds we had milk flowing everywhere from teeth holes!

In this house since scissor teeth arrived  ropes last a maximum of a day 

They all love their kongs  Can't understand why your dogs think Kongs are boring  Mine only ever get kongs with something stuffed inside or smeared around inside so really enjoy them 

I smear peanut butter or squeezy cheese (have heard some people smear marmite in, but i've not tried this) and sometimes mainly when i want peace to do some housework (Ok not very often  ) they get a small squirt of cheese then a couple bits of livercake and a coupke of biscuits all stuffed in as hard as I can and they love it

I don't give mine plastic bottles as they are destroyed in seconds and the plastic can be a bit sharp where they have killed it

Yes, its true that they think Kongs are OK when they are stuffed with something, but it takes about a minute for Casey to get ANYTHING out if his, then he pinches everybody elses because they have never had them long enough to realise there is anything to eat inside so they let him take them.( they are Setters and dont really DO food much!) . as I have to watch Caseys weight its not often I give Kongs stuffed! Oh the joys of multidog homes

Plantpots, yogurt pots and plastic pop bottles are good toys here too, and Isaac has just discovered that OHs flat cap is a good toy - it made OH look old anyway!! : It lasted quite a while really:shades:

Alfie has a lead and collar thats two years old and has survived every attempt to chew to bits so far
