two girls being rehomed due to illness at MT
« on: September 13, 2007, 05:11:33 PM »
Though very young, due to illness these dogs owner has to go into a care home. She is broken hearted as this means she cannot take her beloved dogs too. She will not be getting better but is desperate to be allowed to see her best friend again. There is no chance she can ever have them back.

We are looking for a home near enough to Gloucester that this could occasional happen. We want to home them together please. No adoption fee but please please everyone help. Posters and publicity about these 2 would be great.

Jessie is a 10 year old black and white Cocker Spaniel. She has a lovely nature, does not bite and is good with other dogs and children. She is ‘full of beans.’ She has been spade and vaccinations are up to date. Her owner is a young lady and due to ill health, sadly is no longer able to look after her and therefore a new home is needed, preferably with her younger sister.

Tilly is 6 years old and liver and white. She has a lovely friendly nature and is good with other dogs and children. She also has lots of energy.

It is important that these dogs can be seen occasionally by their current owner if at all possible. It has been a heart breaking decision to let them go. There is no possibility of them returning to their current owner.

Jessie and Tilly are currently still living with their owner in Gloucester. If you are interested in adopting them please complete the Foster Dog Adoption Form .

How very sad.
I hope someone can help make things a little better for their owner by offering them a home

Poor babies, and how tragic for their poor, poor owner.

It would be our worst nightmare come true.

I do hope they can be homed very soon, and that their present owner can see them lots for as long as possible. :'(

I really feel for their owner, her heart must be breaking.  :'(

I think it would be wonderful if their new forever home could take them along to see their old owner, it would make both dogs and owner so happy.

Keeping my fingers crossed for them.

I spoke to Sylvia today, and she asked if these two girls were on COL. I said they were, and she wanted to know if there was anyone interested in them.
She is very concerned about the young woman who owns the dogs. She felt it is very important that the young woman should see her dogs settled, and then be able to see them now and again.
Of course this would be a very big committment for someone, but Sylvia wondered if we all could think of anyone who could help.

It is heartbreaking and I can't help feeling for the owner as this could be my son in years to come if he has to live in residential care of some type of other.

As much as I'd love another dog, two is just not possible although Gloucester is not too far away.  I hope someone can help soon as I bet it is having a real affect on the owners ability to move  :'(
