Vera do you use any grooming spray's to keep them cleaner for longer afterwards? Also how do you guys stop the ears from looking totally un-groomed within minutes of them having been groomed?

Stephanie
Yes, I use Ice on Ice leave in conditioner. Seems to be good, having said though, Jesse's coat is still quite cottony at the moment and does attract mud quite easily. But the adult coat is slowly coming through and should make life a bit easier.

Do you think detangler will work?

She helped me in the Garden today and I just remembered why I always had more Dalmatians than Cockers even tough the littler critters are sooo adorable  :005:

What is about dalmations and dirt!  We walked with friend and her dalmation at the weekend and true to form, she tiptoes round every bit of mud and looks soooo disdainful at my two cockers up to their necks in DIRTY water....

We get back from every walk with dirty dogs, even if it is a dry walk, Holly is ALWAYS as clean as when she started, even her feet!

My liver spotted girl is like the Dalmatian that you describe......... We call her Queen Mum. The Mum part is added due to the fact that she is nine years of age and a Grandma by now:) Fancy, the black spotted girl from the picture will swim everywhere and roll in mud whenever it is available BUT she is clean within a couple of minutes and there lays the big difference:)
Fancy is also often referred to as our spotted Labrador as she will retrieve anything from anywhere but she is unusual for a Dalmatian and a very speciel friend of mine  :luv:
